Articulation | Graduates may articulate to the degree programmes offered by Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi):
Graduates may apply for admission to the relevant BEng (Hons) degree programmes offered by the local universities. Upon admission to relevant degree programmes, graduates can apply for credit exemption. The level of exemption will be considered on individual basis by respective universities.
The Higher Diploma programme is recognised by overseas universities for admission. Graduates can further their studies on a full-time or part-time basis for a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering# offered by the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE), UK (12-month full-time or 18-month part-time programme study in Hong Kong in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) of VTC). # It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognise any qualification to which this course may lead. Career Prospects | Graduates may be employed as technicians in areas such as communication services and technologies, electronic and computer control, microcontroller systems development, computers and mobile devices programming, and network design, artificial intelligence and robotic, or related industries. They can become registered engineer with relevant bachelor degree qualification and training. |
