Programme Aims | The programme equips students, who would have acquired a certain level of practical skill from their current working in the relevant field of the automotive industry, with in-depth and latest professional and practical knowledge for further career development and become professionals in automotive engineering. Emphasis will especially be placed on critical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving and innovative capabilities and team spirit. Upon completion of the programme, graduates are confident to work independently as well as in a team and become leaders in their chosen field of the industry. The programme is designed with an emphasis on generic and language training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation. | |
Career Prospects | The Automotive Engineering industry has a strong, continuing presence in Hong Kong. Graduates may take up positions as assistant engineers, technicians; service advisors or supervisors. They may be employed by light or heavy vehicle after-sales service centres, environmental protection technology enterprises, vehicle safety inspection centres, vehicle component development companies and road transport-related firms. | |
