The Vocational Training Council (VTC) and J.P. Morgan, a leading global financial services firm, have collaborated to introduce the Healthcare Talent Program, a two-year initiative aimed at addressing the rising need for qualified healthcare professionals.

Launched in December 2022 and specifically designed for VTC Higher Diploma students in the Health and Life Sciences discipline (HLS), the program will provide access to a diverse range of experiential activities, internships, and career-oriented guidance with the aim of equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue further studies or to enter the healthcare industry.

To celebrate and recognize the outstanding students of the program, a ceremony was held today (27 June) at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education’s (IVE) Kwai Chung Campus.

The Healthcare Talent Program provides a range of valuable opportunities, including a minimum of 120 hours of industry internship at hospitals, elderly homes and district health centers, along with at least 40 hours of healthcare-related programs or training, community activities, industrial visits, health-tech-related projects or peer group activities. Outstanding students will also have the opportunity to participate in the Healthcare Talent Training Camp, which offers focused training and mentorship.
