      VTC holds the flag raising ceremony on campus today

      The VTC Flag Raising Team was appointed to assist the Council to conduct the national flag raising ceremony on important days and special occasions.     The Vocational Training Council (VTC) held a flag raising ceremony on campus today (29 December) whereby VTC Chairman Mr Tony TAI, Deputy Chairmen Dr Daniel YIP and Mr Paul CHONG, Executive Director Mr Donald TONG, together with VTC’s management, staff and students assembled to celebrate the coming of the new year and wish for the continued prosperity and vitality of our country and Hong Kong. On the same occasion, VTC also held the Appointment Ceremony for new members of the VTC Flag Raising Team which comprises staff and student members. The VTC Flag Raising Team was set up to assist the Council in conducting national flag raising ceremonies on important days and special occasions with a view to cultivating the sense of belonging towards our country and sense of national identity among staff and students.

    Looking forward, VTC, as the largest Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) provider in Hong Kong, will continue to fully support the Government in implementing the VPET initiatives promulgated in the Policy Address to provide quality and diversified study pathways for young people with different aspirations and abilities and in-service practitioners, thereby expanding the talent pool for the sustainable development of Hong Kong and our country.
