Honorary Fellowships

Mr Roy LO is the Managing Partner of ShineWing (SW) Hong Kong and Board Member of SW International, with almost three decades of expertise in auditing, accounting and corporate finance.  In 2005, he facilitated the merger with ShineWing Certified Public Accountants from Beijing and co-found SW Hong Kong, which opened up a new collaboration model of professional services between the Mainland and Hong Kong.
 

Mr Lo has been actively involved in serving the community.  He currently serves as the Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Association of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).  He has also been appointed as a Member of Accountancy subsector in the Election Committee of HKSAR, and the Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Association of Registered Public Interest Entity Auditors.  With his extensive experience in the industry, he generously contributed valuable insights and recommendations on fostering healthy development of the capital markets in the Mainland and Hong Kong, as well as business optimisation and innovation at the 14th Shanghai Committee Meeting of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.  He also largely promoted the diverse development of young talents through international exchanges during his tenure as the Divisional President of Greater China of CPA Australia.
 

Mr Lo has strong ties with the VTC since his early stage of career as he once taught in the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).  He has been the Chairman of Accountancy Training Board of VTC, and was an External Member of the Business Discipline Advisory Board, providing great support to promoting vocational and professional education and training, and nurturing a new generation of accounting professionals.  As a pioneer of initiating professional collaborations between the Mainland and Hong Kong, Mr Lo has connected VTC with the industry to provide internship opportunities in Shanghai for about 130 VTC students of Higher Diploma in Professional Accountancy since 2017.  He has also been very supportive in sharing his professional knowledge and experience at VTC’s Accountancy Forum in the past 15 years.  Around 6,000 accounting students and practitioners were inspired by Mr Lo’s sharing and his comprehensive contribution to the industry.
