Singapore Aircraft engineering experience

A delegation of fifty Diploma of Vocational Education (Aircraft Maintenance) students from Youth College (YC) undertook a five-day exchange programme in Singapore. As a highlight of the trip, they received aircraft engineering training at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) alongside the local students, with whom they engaged in exchanges and got along amicably. The YC students also took a series of training programmes, including safety wire locking, engine borescope inspection and aircraft oxygen systems, and visited a large-scale aviation company in Singapore to learn aircraft engineering knowledge from a different professional perspective. Despite being in the early stage of a Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) programme, they were already offered the opportunity for first-hand industry experience abroad, bringing untold benefits to their pursuit of professional learning and development.”
