Announcement of New Directorate Appointment

Dr MA Hiu Ying Katherine

Dr Ma Hiu Ying, Katherine has been appointed as Assistant Executive Director. She assumes the role of Principal of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan), overseeing campus operations, guiding the strategic development of the campus, and collaborating with other operational units of VTC to deliver VPET programs. Additionally, she will concurrently serve as Director of the Skills Competitions Office.

Dr Ma possesses extensive multidisciplinary academic and student administration experience, specifically in IT and Business domains and has served in various operational units of VTC for over 20 years, including Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Headquarters (Academic Services) and Youth College.

Dr Ma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University), a Master’s Degree in Management Information System (The Georgia College and State University); and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Business Administration (The University of South Australia).
