Announcement of New Directorate Appointment

Ms. CHAN Ho Yan Florence

Ms CHAN has been appointed as Deputy Executive Director to spearhead the strategic development of the Business Discipline and Hospitality Discipline. She is also responsible for overseeing industry partnership and enhancing engagements with other key stakeholders, including alumni and philanthropists. In addition, she leads the VTC’s collaboration and exchange initiatives with the Chinese Mainland and international partners. Her portfolio also includes secretariat support to the VTC Training Boards and administration of apprenticeship training.

Ms CHAN is an experienced public policy professional with over 20 years of experience. She has served in various bureaux and departments of the HKSAR Government, including the Department of Justice, the Education Bureau, and the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, etc. Prior to joining the VTC, she served as a senior executive at a major charitable organization providing multifaceted services in the community of Hong Kong.

Ms CHAN holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences (The University of Hong Kong), a Master’s degree in Business Administration ( Hong Kong University of Science & Technology) and a Master’s degree of Social Science in International and Public Affairs (The University of Hong Kong).
