The Vocational Training Council (VTC) held a flag raising ceremony on campus today (29 September) in celebration of the 74th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. VTC Deputy Chairman, Mr Paul CHONG, together with VTC’s management, staff and students attended the ceremony to wish our nation enduring prosperity.
The VTC will continue to promote its unique strengths of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) in Hong Kong and accord great importance in enhancing our relationship with the Mainland. Earlier this year, the VTC has established its inaugural Mainland operation center in Shenzhen. Recently the VTC and the Department of Education of Guangdong Province signed a memorandum of understanding to cultivate a closer partnership and strengthen vocational education exchange and collaboration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. By empowering young people to fulfill their aspirations, the VTC hopes to help them seize career opportunities presented by the development of the Greater Bay Area. This will lay a solid foundation for our city's sustainable development and integration into the national development framework.
