Mr Ronald LAU Yiu-fai was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by the Council Chairman Mr Andrew LEUNG, SBS, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2009

Mr Ronald LAU Yiu-fai is the Vice President of the Hong Kong Food Council and Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Food Hygiene Administrators Association. He is a Council Member of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, and a Member of the HKSAR Advisory Council on Food and Environmental Hygiene, the HKSAR Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Appeal Board, and the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong.
 

Mr Lau is very committed to food safety training and has been organising related programmes since 1996 with significant contributions to the Food Hygiene Manager Training Scheme in Hong Kong. Mr Lau has also worked closely with food establishments, training institutions and certification bodies in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas, bringing worldwide information and news to the local food businesses. He also explored and broadened the study paths leading to internationally recognised awards for the food businesses to enhance professionalism in the industry.
 

Mr Lau has been a devoted supporter of VTC’s Applied Science Discipline since its establishment and has served many positions including External Examiner and Vice Chairman of the Applied Science Discipline Board. He is currently the Chairperson of the Applied Science Discipline Advisory Board.
