“The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships - Vocational Education Scholarship Awardee Sharing Session 2022” was held successfully on 1 September 2022 at the Happy Valley Stand, Happy Valley Racecourse.  Ms Winnie Yip, Executive Manager, Charities (Grant Making – Arts, Culture, Heritage and Talent Development) of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, encouraged students to pursue their dreams with passion and step up to serve our communities.   Mr Antony Wong, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Social Career, was invited as a guest speaker to share his journey and experience in founding the tech venture, Social Career, and to encourage students to stay perseverance during tough time and be empathetic to build a caring society.
 
Two alumni scholarship awardees also shared their experience of grasping new opportunities.  Ms Kristin Chan shared her personal development in art and  work presented in Art Basel in Switzerland last year.  Mr Allen Fung shared his experience of career change.   Ms Winnie Ngan, Director of the Institutional Advancement Office of VTC, expressed her sincere gratitude for the generosity of the Hong Kong Jockey Club  and encouraged students to contribute to the development of Hong Kong.  Since 2016/17, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships have supported more than 80 graduates from the Diploma of Vocational Education to pursue further studies at Higher Diploma and also 18 graduates of Higher Diploma to pursue further studies at overseas degree programmes in the fields of Aerospace, Marine, Environmental, Architecture, Design and Hospitality.
