Bright Future Charitable Foundation – Outstanding Toy Design Scholarship

With the generous donation from Dr Roy Chung Chi Ping, the “Bright Future Charitable Foundation – Outstanding Toy Design Scholarship” is established in 2020 to recognise students’ excellence in toy design and outstanding academic performance in their studies of Higher Diploma in Product Design in the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI).  
 
The judging panel of the Scholarship is comprised of Dr Chung, Mr David Yip, a seasoned entrepreneur from the toy industry and the academic team of product design of HKDI. The selection presentations were held on 19 October 2021 at HKDI, during which valuable feedback and insights were exchanged for the betterment of design enhancements and product commercialization. Ten students who demonstrated potential in their design talents during their presentations before the judging panel were each awarded a scholarship with amount ranging from $6,000 to HK$25,000.  
 
The Scholarship is entrusted to benefit 30 students for three cohorts starting from the academic year 2020/21.
