Yeung Kin Man Youth Industrial Incubation Programme - Vietnam Industrial Tour Sharing Session was successfully held on 10 Jul 2026 at the AI & Big Data Centre of the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology. The event was honoured by the presence of Mr Bernard SHU, Vice President of Biel Crystal Holdings Limited, members of the Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries (PVCHK), as well as representatives from the Vocational Training Council (VTC), who joined the participating students to exchange views on their learning outcomes.
The Vietnam Industrial Tour received a very positive response, attracting more than 130 applications. Following a rigorous selection process, 21 students from the Business, Engineering and Information Technology disciplines were chosen to join the tour and travel to Hanoi, Vietnam, for an in-depth exploration. Through visits to industrial exhibitions and manufacturing facilities, as well as exchanges with industry leaders and practitioners, students gained first-hand insights into industrial upgrading, green manufacturing practices, and the evolving industrial landscape of the region.
During the sharing session, students presented their observations and analyses on topics such as production technology enhancement, green factory development, and logistics and tracking systems. Drawing on cross-disciplinary perspectives, they explored how innovative technologies can be leveraged to enhance operational efficiency, improve product quality, and promote sustainable development. The study tour also deepened their understanding of global supply chains, manufacturing transformation, and regional economic trends, while providing valuable inspiration for their future academic and career aspirations.
With the generous support of Dr Yeung Kin-man, SBS, JP, the Programme is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of industrial talent equipped with innovative thinking, professional expertise, and a global outlook.
