Jointly organised by the VTC and the Construction Industry Council (CIC), the Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition (HKJSC) 2026 is taking place from April to May.  It serves as the introductory tier of a talent pipeline that scales from local secondary schools to the international stage of the WorldSkills Competition. Through training and contests, HKJSC introduces students to diverse skills and provides a platform to showcase their potential. Beyond a one-off test, it offers a structured development path with professional training and briefings to build technical knowledge.

This pipeline naturally feeds into the WorldSkills Hong Kong Competition, where top talents are identified for the global arena. This journey from local recognition to the world stage would not be possible without the steadfast support of our sponsors. Over 120 shortlisted candidates across more than 30 skills are undergoing intensive training, competing to represent Hong Kong at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai (22–27 September 2026). Sponsor contributions are fundamental, granting access to high-quality training, advanced equipment, and world-class facilities, empowering young talents to refine skills to international standards and turn passion into expertise.

Looking forward, VTC is committed to fostering long-term partnerships that elevate skills excellence. We welcome continued collaboration to deepen industry-education collaboration and broaden career pathways for youth.
