As I began my second year in the UK as a Master’s student in Game Development, I can clearly see how the AHFS scholarship has shaped my academic trajectory. Beyond enabling me to study abroad, it has positioned me within a network of institutions and opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.

Earlier in my studies, visiting V&A Dundee broadened my understanding of how design operates at a cultural level. This year, that initial exposure evolved into something far more significant: I was given the opportunity, as part of a Master’s development team, to collaborate directly with V&A Dundee on designing a game for the museum. This is a rare opportunity not commonly available to students, requiring us to apply game methodology within a real institutional context, balancing creativity, audience engagement, and curatorial objectives.

The scholarship made this progression possible, supporting my studies in the UK, placed me in an environment where academic learning intersects with industry and cultural institutions.
