VTC shines at the National Korfball Championships with Unprecedented Success

The 12th National Student Korfball Championship and National Korfball Championship took place on 1 December 2023, at the Sports Center of Wuyuan County, Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. With the participation of 42 teams with 435 contestants from across the nation, it marked the largest event to date.

A team of nine VTC students, guided by coaches from the Student Development Discipline, demonstrated unwavering determination and hard work during their training and preparation. Their efforts resulted in an impressive 6th place in the National Korfball Championship and an outstanding 5th place in the National University Korfball Championship after four days of intensive competitions.

Among the VTC delegates, Angel and Wai, stood out as members of the prestigious 12th National University Korfball Championship All-Star Team. This recognition reflects their exceptional skill and devotion to this emerging new sport in Mainland China.

Thanks to Tin Ka Ping Foundation in supporting VTC students to the competition. Through its sponsorship, students could participate in holistic development activities and showcase their abilities on the national stage. As a token of gratitude, the student team visited the Foundation on 7 May 2024, presenting handmade gifts and sharing their meaningful trip experience.
