With the support of J.P. Morgan, a two-year Healthcare Talent Program (the "Program”) was launched in December 2022 to address the rising need for qualified healthcare professionals. To celebrate and recognize the outstanding students of the Program, a ceremony was held on 27 June 2023 at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education’s (IVE) Kwai Chung Campus. VTC thanked J.P. Morgan for its support in nurturing the future talent of the healthcare industry through the Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) Program.

Specifically designed for VTC Higher Diploma students in the Health and Life Sciences discipline, the Program provides access to a diverse range of experiential trainings, internships and career-oriented guidance with the aim of equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue further studies or work in the healthcare industry. The VPET Program provides a range of valuable opportunities, including a minimum of 120 hours of industry internship, along with at least 40 hours of healthcare-related programs or training. Outstanding students also have the opportunity to participate in the Healthcare Talent Training Camp, which offers focused training and mentorship. As part of the Program, J.P. Morgan also provides volunteer mentors, allowing the participating students to gain practical skills in various areas such as communication and problem-solving in an interactive way.
