The 8th Chevalier Group Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 21 August 2026 at IVE(Morrison Hill). Over 100 distinguished guests, teaching staff and students attended the event. Mr. Kuok Hoi Sang, Chairman of Chevalier Group, and Mr. Oscar Chow, Vice Chairman, together with department heads and colleagues from the Group, joined the celebration to honour 40 outstanding engineering students who received the Chevalier Group Scholarship.

The Scholarship recognizes engineering students who have demonstrated exceptional performance in Higher Diploma and Diploma of Vocational Education programmes. Since its establishment in 2018, it has benefited 320 students across various engineering fields. In addition to financial support, the scheme offers industry talks, internships, and employment opportunities helping students gain valuable hands-on experience.

A key highlight of the ceremony was a dialogue session themed “Dare to Break Through” featuring the Chairman and VTC students. During the session, Mr. Kuok, Chairman of the Chevalier Group, engaged in a warm exchange with the awardees. He shared valuable insights into the engineering industry and recounted how he navigated challenges throughout his career. He encouraged students to maintain their passion for learning, embrace challenges with courage, and uphold their principles in forging their own paths. The interactive session provided a rare opportunity for  students to seek advice and discuss topics ranging from personal influence and industry trends to professional growth.

The ceremony also featured a dedicated guest sharing session, jointly presented by representatives from the VTC Estates and Campus Development Office, teachers and students from the Engineering Discipline, and project managers from Chevalier Group. Presenters shared the joy of receiving the awards of different signature capital projects, recounted how they overcame hurdles while working under tight schedules and during research and development, and looked ahead to the boundless opportunities brought by frontier engineering technologies and digital transformation. The session fully demonstrated the shared commitment of VTC and Chevalier Group to fostering innovation and advancing the industry.

In his address, Mr Donald Tong, GBS, JP, Executive Director of VTC, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chevalier Group for its longstanding dedication and generous support in nurturing VTC students.  Looking ahead, VTC is eager to deepen its collaboration with Chevalier Group to nurture a new generation of engineering professionals equipped with professional skills., international vision, and innovative thinking, jointly contributing to the development of Hong Kong and the nation.
