The 21st Hong Kong Housing Society Award Celebrates Outstanding VTC Students Inaugural Rising Changemaker Prize Nurtures New Talent

Now in its 21st year, the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) Award recognises outstanding students enrolled in housing and elderly services–related programmes, providing financial assistance to those in need, and supporting the nurturing of local professional talent in these vital industries.

This year, 35 exceptional students from the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) and the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) received awards. All recipients will gain access to professional training and volunteer services to gain hands-on experience, broaden their horizons, and equipping to become the leaders of tomorrow.

The programme also introduced the new Rising Changemaker Prize, encouraging students to explore pressing housing issues and share insights through dedicated sessions. Two VTC students distinguished themselves with comprehensive analyses and unique perspectives, winning the inaugural Award and sharing their success on stage.
