The HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund (GSF) and the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund (SPEF) Joint Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2026 was held successfully on 23 April 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Representatives of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), together with awardee representatives, attended the ceremony to witness and share the joy and achievements of the award recipients.

The GSF and SPEF offer a wide range of scholarships and awards to attract outstanding local and non-local students to pursue post-secondary education in Hong Kong. The scholarships and awards under the GSF include Scholarship for Outstanding Performance, Talent Development Scholarship, Reaching Out Award and Endeavour Merit Award. The Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) under the SPEF, aims to promote the quality and sustainable development of the self-financing post-secondary sector in Hong Kong. It offers Outstanding Performance Scholarship, Best Progress Award, Talent Development Scholarship, Reaching Out Award and Endeavour Scholarship.

In the 2025/26 academic year, the two funds granted scholarships totalling approximately HK$210 million to more than 6,600 outstanding post-secondary students, of whom around 1,400 were VTC students.
