On 10 June 2026, the HSBC Speak for Success Programme held its Final Showcase to celebrate the achievements of VTC students and the Programme’s impact in nurturing confident, capable and future-ready young talent. A total of 100 outstanding students were presented with the Award for Best Performance Individuals, Award for Presentation Competitions, and Award for Best Improvement Individuals in recognition of their remarkable progress and accomplishments.

Under the theme "Break-Through", this year’s Final Showcase featured an interactive talk show and engaging booth activities, creating a dynamic platform for learning, sharing and inspiration. A highlight of the event was the sharing by alumna Ms Tiff HO, who introduced storytelling techniques and insights on how effective communication can support career development.

Since its launch in 2014, the HSBC Speak for Success Programme, sponsored by the Hongkong Bank Foundation, has benefited more than 50,000 VTC students, equipping them with essential soft skills, communication abilities and self-confidence. Through workshops, training activities, and professional sharing sessions, students improved their verbal communication, presentation, and public speaking abilities.

At the ceremony, Mr Donald Tong, GBS, JP, the Executive Director of VTC, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hongkong Bank Foundation for its longstanding and generous support in creating valuable development opportunities for VTC students. He also encouraged students to apply their professional skills and knowledge to contribute to society.

VTC extends its sincere appreciation to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited for its unwavering support over the years. Through this partnership, students have been inspired to become articulate, confident and passionate presenters, well prepared to pursue their aspirations and succeed in their future endeavours.
