The Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation generously sponsored 40 Youth College students and staff to undertake a five-day learning expedition to Vietnam in December 2025.
The itinerary was a rich blend of cultural immersion, industrial visits, and cross-cultural exchange. Participants explored local communities, engaged with Vietnamese students, and gained valuable insights from business leaders on innovation, deepening their understanding of regional connectivity.
At the post-trip sharing held on 21 January, students reflected on their personal growth through overcoming real world challenges such as language barriers and a demanding schedule. These experiences honed their adaptability, proactive communication and teamwork. Furthermore, students reflected a broadened global perspective, stronger cross-cultural awareness, clearer academic and career aspirations, as well as civic responsibility.
The Foundation’s initiative successfully nurtured curiosity, resilience, and an international mindset. We look forward to future collaborations with the Foundation to support youth development and contribute to a sustainable future for the GBA and beyond.
