    The Dr Ng Tat-lun Memorial Outstanding Students Award Scheme Presentation Ceremony cum Awardee Sharing Session 2025 was held on 3 July at IVE (Morrison Hill), celebrating the remarkable achievements of ten outstanding students who exemplify dedication, leadership, and excellence in their studies. Among the awardees were seven Higher Diploma from each of VTC’s Academic Disciplines, along with three Diploma students from the Youth Colleges and the Youth College (International). During the ceremony, the recipients expressed the gratitude of receiving the Awards and shared their inspiring experience along their Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) journeys.

    Established by the late Dr Ng Tat-lun, this prestigious award recognize students who excel in the VPET pathways, demonstrating not only academic excellence but also strong leadership, personal integrity, extracurricular engagement, and commitment to community service, which are the values championed by Dr Ng Tat-lun.

    The event was officiated by Ms Irene Ng, daughter of Dr Ng Tat-lun, who has been a steadfast supporter of the initiative. In his opening remarks, Mr Simon Tang, Director of the Institutional Advancement Office, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms Ng and her family for their enduring dedication. The ceremony was also attended by awardees’ families and, representatives of academic disciplines, who joined in congratulating the deserving students. 

    Since its inception, the Award Scheme has recognized nearly 200 outstanding VTC students making a profound impact on vocational education and youth development in Hong Kong. The 2025 ceremony upheld this legacy, celebrating the achievements and potential of future leaders in their respective fields.
