Bright Future Charitable Foundation – Outstanding Toy Design Scholarship 2021/22

Thanks to the generous and staunch support of Dr Roy Chung, students’ excellence in toy design and outstanding academic performance during their studies of the Higher Diploma in Product Design at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) was recognized through the “Bright Future Charitable Foundation – Outstanding Toy Design Scholarship”.

The selection presentation of the Scholarship for the second cohort year was held on 7 Nov 2022 at HKDI. The judging panel, including Dr Chung, Mr David Yip, a seasoned entrepreneur from the toy industry and the academic team of product design, shared with students their valuable feedback and insights into design betterments and product commercialisation. Nine (9) students who demonstrated talent and creativity for the toy design during the presentations were each awarded a scholarship ranging from HK$6,000 to HK$25,000.

The winning toy design, the “Fast Eater” board game by student Cheung Tung, is regarded as having exceptional creativity and high play value. The player who is the first to clear the scene by simply pressing the bellies of lovely frog figures to lick prey with their sticky tongues will win the game.
