The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships - Vocational Education Scholarship Honours Outstanding VTC Students: Nurturing Talent and a Spirit of Service

VTC Chairman Mr. Jeffrey LAM, together with Executive Director Mr. Donald TONG and Director of the Institutional Advancement Office Ms. Jamie CHENG, attended The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships and Fellowships – Award Presentation Ceremony and High Table Dinner on 28 April 2026 to celebrate the achievements of VTC scholars who were awarded Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Scholarships.  

The ceremony recognised scholars who exhibited exceptional academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to community service. In the 2024/25 academic year, 17 VTC students were awarded HKJC Scholarships to support their pursuit of overseas studies or Higher Diploma programmes, in recognition of their academic excellence and dedication to contributing meaningfully to society.  

Throughout the event, scholars from various tertiary institutions were brought together on a valuable platform to connect, engage, and exchange experiences. The VTC scholars expressed their sincere gratitude for the steadfast support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and the awards reaffirmed their commitment to upholding excellence and contributing to their communities with a spirit of giving.

Since its inception, the HKJC Scholarships have benefited over 1,200 students, including more than 170 from VTC, creating a lasting and meaningful impact on their academic and personal development. VTC extends its heartfelt gratitude to The Hong Kong Jockey Club for its continued and unwavering support over the years.
