"Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship Awardees Sharing Session" was held at the Exhibition Hall, Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (Chai Wan Campus). Members of the Rotary International District 3450 (RID3450), VTC representatives, alumni, and awardees gathered to share the joy and accomplishments of the awardees. The guests also visited the donor recognition plaque located on the campus which is to express gratitude for the support to VTC by the Rotary over the years.

Ms Cassy CHENG, District Governor Elect of the RID3450, attended as the Guest of Honor and emphasized the importance of committing to lifelong learning and caring for society. Dr Alaina SHUM, Deputy Executive Director of the VTC, thanked the RID3450 for their continuous support to VTC and Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) for years, which empowers the upward mobility of youth and ignites their magical journeys. Awardees and alumni expressed their sincere gratitude to the RID3450 for relieving their financial burden and enabling them to improve their academic performance. They were also motivated by the Scholarship to uphold Rotary values to serve society.

With the staunch support of RID3450, the Scholarship was established in 2015. Throughout the 10 years, more than 340 scholarships have been awarded to around 180 students. The Scholarship aims to encourage students to progress upward along the VPET articulation pathway from Diploma, Higher Diploma to Degree levels and greatly contribute to VPET and youth development in Hong Kong.
