Organised by the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), the Exhibition showcases the artistic achievements of legendary icon Leslie CHEUNG and the golden era of Hong Kong pop culture he represents through a collection of historical images, immersive exhibition experiences, and a rare selection of archival photographs taken by local and international photographers during the 1980s and 1990s, many of which are being unveiled to the public for the first time. More than 400 students from HKDI’s disciplines of Communication Design, Digital Media, and Fashion and Image Design, reinterprets the unique allure of 1980s and 1990s pop culture through an interdisciplinary creative practice combining design, art, and technology.
