Mr Paul CHONG Kin-lit was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by then Chief Secretary for Administration Mr Henry TANG, GBM, GBS, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2010

Mr Paul CHONG Kin-lit has over 20 years of experience in product development in the electrical and mechanical services industry. He is the Managing Director and a co-founder of The Southa Group, a provider of diversified electrical and mechanical services in Asia, Europe and America.
 

Mr Chong is dedicated to enhancing the standard of practitioners in the electrical and mechanical services and construction industries. He is the Chairman of Education Bureau’s Electrical & Mechanical Services Industry Training Advisory Committee as well as Convener of its Recognition of Prior Learning Sub-committee. He is also the Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Electrical & Mechanical Contractors Limited, Convener of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Industry Working Group of the Labour and Welfare Bureau’s Skills Upgrading Scheme, member of the Construction Workers Registration Authority, and member of the Employees Retraining Board.
 

Mr Chong is a staunch supporter and a long-serving member of VTC’s Training Boards. He served in the Building and Civil Engineering Training Board from 1995 to 2001, and in the Electrical and Mechanical Services Training Board from 1995 to 2007. Over the years, he has contributed substantially to setting up quality standards and developing trade test systems for the electrical and mechanical industry and nourished VTC’s relationship with the engineering industry. His enormous contributions have enhanced VTC’s role in nurturing the young generation to become the backbone of industry growth and development.
 

Mr Chong was awarded the Medal of Honour by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR in 2008 for his contribution in the electrical and mechanical, as well as construction industries.
