The Hon Paul CHAN Mo-po is the Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He was also a former president of ACCA-HK and the first ACCA member in Hong Kong elected to serve on the ACCA – World Council (1997 – 2000). He is currently Chairman of the Legal Aid Services Council, Member of the Commission on Strategic Development, the Transport Advisory Committee, the Copyright Tribunal and the Governing Committee of Beat Drugs Fund Association. He is also the Chairman of Friends of Caritas and a former Chairman of Breakthrough Limited.
The Hon Paul Chan is a keen supporter of vocational education and VTC. He has been guest of honour and/or guest speaker in numerous events hosted by IVE. He has been actively involved in accounting education in Hong Kong, assuming lectureship and advisory roles in universities and education institutions in Hong Kong. He is Adjunct Associate Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has also been a subject specialist of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications since 1989.
The Hon Paul Chan was awarded the Medal of Honour in 2006 and appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2007 by the government of the HKSAR.
