    Mr Graeme READING is the Founder of the Café Deco Group. An expert in design and technical services, Mr Reading is both an architect and restaurateur who formulated the design and development of the group’s food and beverage operations in Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai and Sydney.
     

    Mr Reading sits on the University of New South Wales Hong Kong Foundation Board, is a Member of the World Presidents Organization and the Clinton Global Initiative. He is also the former Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong.
     

    As a veteran in the field with world-wide exposure and having held senior positions in Mandarin Oriental and Hyatt Hotel Groups, Mr Reading is a well-respected member of the hospitality and catering industry. With his added talent in architecture and interior design, Mr Reading brought tremendous contribution to the VTC in establishing its presence in education and training for the industry.
     

    Mr Reading has been most supportive of the work of the VTC. He has been an Advisor to the Hotel, Catering and Tourism Training Board since 2007. He began assisting the VTC in 1982 when he was involved with the planning of the first training centre of the Hospitality Industry Training and Development Centre (HITDC) in Kowloon Bay. Since then, he has provided expert advice to the expansion projects of the HITDC such as the T-Hotel and Training Spa. He is an Honorary Advisor of the English-speaking Dining Society of the HITDC and the Chinese Cuisine Training Institute. Currently, he is the External Advisor to the Planning Team of the new International Culinary Institute of the VTC, advising on architectural, interior and operational designs for the Institute.
