Netherlands Sports Management Programme

Chingle Au, a BSocSc (Hons) student studying in Sports and Recreation Management at the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), was sent to Utrecht in the Netherlands, where he pursued a credit-bearing, six-month sports management programme with the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Chingle considered his first overseas learning experience as an excellent opportunity for him to develop independence and English proficiency. “When our instructor took us out of the classroom to visit an indoor surfing company, he adopted a highly interactive and light-hearted approach to teach us marketing knowledge and this was an eye-opening experience for me. Beyond classroom learning, I also had the opportunity to call on a well-known football club in the Netherlands, travel to the UK for exchanges with local students and visit a large-scale sports facility. ” Enriching and diverse, the learning experience in and outside the classroom has benefitted Chingle and left him with lifelong memories.
