Announcement of New Directorate Appointment

​​​​​​​Mr Wong Chak-wing

Mr Wong Chak-wing has been appointed as Assistant Executive Director. He assumes the role of Director of the Digital Future Office and concurrently as Deputy Academic Director of the Information Technology (IT) Discipline. He is responsible for taking forward the strategic initiatives and overseeing the implementation of the digitalization and lifelong learning projects, as well as supporting the curriculum development in Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) and lifelong learning areas for IT Discipline.

Mr Wong possesses extensive experience in leading digital transformation and delivery of innovation solutions via collaboration with startup and multinational high-tech technology corporations. Prior to this appointment, Mr Wong had served senior executive roles in various regional and global companies including New World China, Shangri-la Group, KPMG, Deloitte and IBM.

Mr Wong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) and a Master’s degree in Information Technology (Hong Kong Polytechnic University).
