Announcement of New Directorate Appointment

Mr YAP Han-phong James

Mr YAP has been appointed as Senior Assistant Executive Director. He will assume the role of Principal of Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI), Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI) and International Culinary Institute (ICI), and concurrently as the Academic Director of the Hospitality Discipline. He will take charge of the campus operation and the strategic development of the Discipline.

Mr YAP possesses over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry with extensive skills and knowledge in managing world-renowned 5-star luxury hotels and resorts. He also possesses substantial pre-opening experience on luxury premises. Prior to this appointment, he had served senior executive roles in various regional and global hospitality corporations.

Mr YAP holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management (Australian International Hotel School, in affiliation with Cornell University, Ithaca New York and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia).
