Albert IP Yuk-keung was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by Secretary for Education Mr Eddie NG, SBS, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2012

Mr Albert IP Yuk-keung, a global banking executive, has 33 years of experience working with banking behemoths including Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, First National Bank of Chicago and Wells Fargo Bank in New York City, San Francisco and Hong Kong. His expertise encompasses real estate, corporate banking, financial institutions, transaction banking, wealth management and risk management. Mr Ip was Managing Director of Citigroup and Managing Director of Investments at Merrill Lynch.
 

Mr Ip has participated in numerous advisory boards and committees. He is Council and Court Member of Lingnan University, Member of International Advisory Board, College of Business, City University of Hong Kong, Co-opted Member of The Finance Committee of the Urban Renewal Authority and Member of the Management sub-committee of The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong. Globally, Mr Ip is also a Member of the International Advisory Council Asia at Washington University in St. Louis, Council Member of Cornell University and Member of the International Advisory Committee at University of Macau.
 

Contributing to VTC’s developments in various aspects, Mr Ip is Member of the Board of Governors of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), a newly established organisation mandated to provide vocationally oriented bachelor degree programmes. As Chairman of VTC’s Fund Raising Steering Committee, he is committed to helping VTC raise sufficient funds to perform its strategic functions. He is also an advisory board member of VTC’s Hotel, Service and Tourism Studies, providing his veteran insights to ensure the relevance and quality of VTC programmes in meeting the needs of the industry, and often delivers speeches at various events organised by the VTC.
 

Mr Ip received his Bachelor degree with the highest honour from Washington University in St. Louis and Master’s degrees from Cornell University and Carnegie-Mellon University. With a passion towards higher education, Mr Ip is active on other academic fronts. He is Adjunct Professor of Lingnan University and the City University of Hong Kong and an Executive Fellow of Washington University in Asia. He is a frequent guest speaker at local and overseas universities, including the City University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University, Peking University and Tsinghua University.
