VTC confers Honorary Fellowships on four distinguished industry leaders

The Vocational Training Council (VTC) held the VTC Honorary Fellowship Conferment Ceremony today (17 October) to present the VTC Honorary Fellowships to four industry leaders, namely Mr Raymond CHENG Siu-hong, Mr Kent WONG Siu-kee, Ms Juliana YANG Hui-chun and Mr Allan YU Kin-nam, in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the development of vocational and professional education and training (VPET) and the community. In his address at the Ceremony, Guest of Honour, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard CHAN Pak-li expressed gratitude towards the Honorary Fellows for their tremendous contributions and active participation in advancing the development of vocational and professional education and training (VPET). He also thanked the VTC and all industry stakeholders for building a highly competent workforce for Hong Kong’s economy through various vocational training programmes. He added that by fostering a workforce that is adaptable, innovative, and skilled, VTC significantly contributes to enhancing Hong Kong's overall competitiveness.
VTC Chairman, Mr Tony TAI extended his congratulations and appreciation to the four Honorary Fellows who have achieved remarkable success in their professional fields and have provided staunch support in fostering VPET development, providing work placement and diversified learning opportunities to help VTC students achieve their aspirations and realise their potentials. He said the VTC attaches great importance to the strategic partnership with the industry, and will further deepen the collaboration with industry partners to nurture more skilled professionals for various sectors, contributing to the overall development of Hong Kong and our country.
Established in 1982, the Vocational Training Council (VTC) is the largest vocational and professional education and training provider in Hong Kong. The mission of VTC is to provide a valued choice to school leavers and working people to acquire the values, knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and enhanced employability, and also to provide support to industries for their manpower development.
