Speak for Success Programme to nurture future leaders

The 2017/18 Sharing Session cum Award Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 22 June and marked the completion in this academic year for the Speak for Success Programme, a student development programme supported by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited since 2014.  60 students with outstanding performance and significant improvement were recognised with the “Best Performance” and “Best Improvement” awards.  Moreover, 9 winning student teams from IVE campuses were awarded the “Best Presentation Team” prizes.

With 9 months of training including drama workshops, presentation skill talks, social mingling sessions and other team-building activities, the Programme enhanced the communication and collaboration skills of VTC students studying Higher Diploma and Diploma of Foundation Studies programmes.  With improved public speaking and presentation competencies, the participating students are well boosted for their employment readiness and confidence equipped for leadership in the future.

Since the launch of the Programme, more than 3,100 students were benefitted, and about a thousand students completed the Programme this academic year, logging the ever highest number of participation.
