Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship Supports Students to Pursue University Degree

2022 marks the seventh year of the Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship.  The Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship Awardees Sharing Session was held in live webcast on 13 May.  Rotary members, awardees and VTC representatives witnessed and celebrated the achievement and joy of the awardees.
 
The Executive Director of the VTC, Mr Donald TONG, GBS, encouraged the awardees to extend their helping hands to serve the community while making good use of the scholarship for developing their vocational profession.  The District Governor of Rotary International District 3450 (Rotary), Mr Keith CHOW, highlighted the yearly theme of Rotary “Serve to Change Lives” and recommended the awardees to lay a solid foundation of interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and resilience so as to serve the others.
 
Three awardees shared their valuable experiences of VPET learning and community services.  One of the awardees, Billy CHEUNG, has been receiving the scholarships for four years in a row since AY2018/19 that supported him to complete the programmes of the Diploma of Foundation Studies and Higher Diploma.  Billy is currently studying the Degree programme of Sports and Recreation Management.  He was grateful to the support of the scholarships along his development in VPET pathway.
