Innovation x Application Scheme 2018/19

With the donation from the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council Foundation for the third consecutive year, the Innovation x Application Scheme 2018/19 invited Higher Diploma students of VTC to submit creative and innovative ideas with the potential of commercialisation through the competition to propel their entrepreneurial dream.

The Scheme attracted 21 teams to compete for the award, of which six teams entered into the Final Pitching and Award Presentation held on 13 June.  To prepare for the Final Pitching, the six finalist teams had received training on prototyping, writing business proposals and delivering a compelling pitch.  The judges were impressed by the practical and innovative ideas from the teams and saw a great potential to launch them into the market.  Finally the Grand Prize went to the team from IT Discipline of IVE(Shatin) with their project "Mobile Multi-cam Live Broadcast Solution" which would ride on multi-camera streaming technique to interactively broadcast an event from business meetings, product exhibitions to large-scale campetition through mobile and WiFi connectivity.
