CLP Power Engineering Laboratory

CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP) has generously sponsored to support the construction and establishment of a new power engineering laboratory in the Waterfront Annex of IVE (Haking Wong). The laboratory is housed with innovative technologies and advanced training facilities to nurture new generation of power engineering talent, equipping them with smart power grid and high voltage know-how to propel and support the transformation of Hong Kong into a low-carbon smart city.
 
To appreciate CLP’s generous contribution, VTC has named the laboratory as “CLP Power Engineering Laboratory”.  The laboratory was officially unveiled on 1 April 2021.  Secretary for Innovation and Technology Mr Alfred SIT Wing-hang (third from right), Chairman of CLP Power Mr William MOCATTA (second from left), Chief Executive Officer of CLP Holdings Mr Richard LANCASTER (first from left), VTC Chairman Mr Tony TAI (second from right) and VTC Executive Director Mrs Carrie YAU (first from right) officiated the opening ceremony of the laboratory.
