Chevalier Group Scholarship for Outstanding Engineering Students

Forty students from the VTC Engineering Discipline have been awarded the Chevalier Group Scholarship, which aims to groom local talents in the fields of engineering and construction. The Scholarship was evidence of the industry’s recognition of vocational and professional education and training (VPET) and the market needs for well-trained manpower equipped with professional knowledge and skills.

In AY 2018-2020, a total of 80 outstanding students were awarded a scholarship each of HK$10,000 or HK$40,000 depending on their study levels which are Higher Diploma and Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programmes in the areas of Civil Engineering, Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer and Electronic Engineering.

VTC is thankful to the Chevalier Group for offering scholarships to recognize the achievements of our students and to help train the young generation who will in turn help drive the sustainable development of the engineering and construction industry.  Chevalier Group has been a long-standing partner of the VTC by providing internship opportunities for our students in areas such as electrical and mechanical engineering, lift maintenance, and environmental engineering, and allowing our students to grasp practical skills for their future career development.
