Yeung Kin Man Youth Industrial Incubation Programme: Nurtures Future Industrial Professionals for Hong Kong

To celebrate and recognize the outstanding students of the Yeung Kin Man Youth Industrial Incubation Programme (“Programme”), the Programme Award Presentation Ceremony cum Sharing Session was held at the Bright Future Hall in IVE (Morrison Hill) on 11 August 2023.  Mr Bernard SHU from Biel Crystal (HK) Manufactory Ltd., members of The Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries (PVCHK), project mentors from different industries and VTC representatives gathered to witness the awardees’ accomplishment. VTC thanked Dr YEUNG Kin-man, SBS, JP, PVCHK and projects mentors for their staunch support in nurturing the future industrial professionals through Vocational and Professional Education and Training.

More than forty students in the realm of business administration, information technology and engineering with outstanding project performances were awarded this year. The champions presented the features and applications of their projects, as well as their observation and research on the needs of the market.   They also thanked the Programme for giving them the opportunity to better understand the trends and development of the industrial sector.

With the generous support of Dr YEUNG Kin-man, SBS, JP, the Programme was established in the academic year 2017/18, with the aim of deepening knowledge of the industrial sector’s prospects and developments among the young people and encouraging them to pursue a career in the sector. The Programme has benefited over 2,300 students through all-year-round industrial exchanges, competitions, company visits and talks from industry experts since its inception.
