Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship: Cultivates Professionals to Embrace Challenges

“Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship Awardees Sharing Session” was held at THEi Chai Wan Campus on 12th May, whereas the members of Rotary International District 3450 (“Rotary”), VTC representatives, alumni and awardees gathered to share their feelings and witness the awardees’ accomplishments over the years. 

Mr Edmond YU, Deputy Executive Director of VTC, mentioned that the Scholarship has benefitted over 150 students studying at Diploma, Higher Diploma and THEi Degree levels since its establishment in 2015.  He also expressed his gratitude for Rotary's unwavering and longstanding support to Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) over the years.  The event was honoured to have Dr Norman LEE, District Governor of Rotary (2022-23), shared his own experiences of perseverance in his youth.  Three awardees & an alumnus, Selina KWOK, shared the impact of the Scholarship on their VPET learning and their dedication to serving the community voluntarily. Their sharing has deeply reflected the value of establishing this scholarship.

The guests also visited the donor recognition plaque located on the campus which is to express gratitude for the support to VTC by the Rotary over the years.
