HSBC Speak for Success Programme 2020/21

The HSBC Speak for Success Programme 2020/21 was successfully completed in June 2021 benefiting more than 6,000 VTC students. With more than 9 months of training in personal image, presentation skills, public speaking, and experience sharing sessions from professionals, the Programme aimed to cultivate students to become vivid, confident and keen speakers, and to equip them with communication and collaboration skills that would help them excel in workplace. This year, several new elements were introduced to correspond with the theme “Employability for the 21st Century”, including “Use of Information Technology and Media”, “Enhancing Workplace Competencies” and “Greater Bay Area Exploration”.

The HSBC Speak for Success Programme Presentation Competition cum Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on 18 June 2021 at the VTC Halls of Residence (Tsing Yi).  A total of 15 finalists competed for different awards in English, Cantonese and Putonghua categories. Furthermore, a total of 80 students were also presented with the Best Performance and Best Improvement Awards. 

With the sponsorship and longstanding support from the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, the Programme has trained more than 20,000 VTC students since its establishment in 2014.
