Agape Foundation Scholarship Builds Bridges of Hope and Compassion for Students in Childcare, Elderly, and Community Services (CECS)

    03 Oct 2025

The awardees’ sharing session of the Agape Foundation Scholarship was successfully held on 3 October 2025 at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin). The event brought together over 40 guests, including 12 scholarship awardees accompanied by their parents and close companions, in a heartfelt gathering that celebrated resilience, aspiration, and the transformative power of education.

The Agape Foundation Scholarship, newly established in AY2025/26, supports students who graduated from designated Higher Diploma programmes offered by the Childcare, Elderly and Community Services Discipline to articulate to designated top-up Degree programmes offered by SHAPE. The scholarship aims to ease financial burdens and empower students to pursue further studies in the healthcare, education and community services sectors.

Rooted in the Christian concept of “Agape”, a Greek term meaning unconditional and sacrificial love, the Scholarship reflects a deep commitment to sharing God’s love and grace with those in need.

During the session, awardees shared personal stories of perseverance and gratitude. The scholarship not only provides financial support for their academic pursuits, but also instills in them the motivation and confidence to move forward. The event created a warm and engaging atmosphere where participants celebrated their achievements together.
