Honorary Fellowships

Prof Cliff SUN Kai-lit was the Chairman and is currently the Honorary President of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. He founded the Kinox brand in 1980 and has since developed the business into a quality brand in the kitchen appliances and cookware market. Prof Sun is also the Co-Founder of China South City Holdings Limited.
 

Prof Sun has been very active in a broad spectrum of community services. He is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Advisory Committee under the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC, since 2011), and a member in the Election Committee Industrial (First) Subsector since 1998. He was a Non-official Member of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (2006-2010). In September 2019, Prof Sun has been awarded the Honorary Fellowship by the City University of Hong Kong.
 

In addition to business, Professor Sun is active in public services. He has been an active member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference on the Shenzhen, Ningbo and Zhejiang Committees at different times since 1994. He served as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Exporters' Association from 2002 to 2006, the Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries from 2009 to 2011, and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Q Mark Council from 2003 to 2009. He has been appointed to many public positions by the HKSAR Government, including membership on the Business Facilitation Advisory Committee since 2010.
 

Prof Sun was a previous Council Member of the VTC (2010-2015). He served as a Member of the Standing Committee and the Chairman of the Administration Committee from 2013 to 2015; and a Member of the Estates Committee from 2010 to 2015. He was also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the VTC Provident Fund Scheme (1999) (2012-2015) and a Director on the Boards of School of Business and Information Systems (SBI) (2010-2015) and Yeo Chei Man Senior Secondary School (2010-2014). During his term of service, Prof Sun was highly devoted to furthering the mission of the VTC. While different operating units of the VTC had appreciated his wise counsel, VTC students had also benefited from his scholarship donations.
