Ms Belinda YEUNG Bik-yiu was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by Chairman of Education Commission Dr Moses CHENG Mo-chi, GBS, OBE, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2014

Ms Belinda YEUNG Bik-yiu is the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited (RHI). Under her leadership Regal has grown from owning and managing seven hotels in 2007 to the present 24 properties in its portfolio. She has successfully led Regal through challenges such as the SARS outbreak in 2003 and the 2008 economic tsunami.
 

Ms Yeung actively involved in the works for various governmental and non-governmental committees and associations. In the public domain she has variously served as member of the Hong Kong Chief Executive Election Committee, member of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, 1st Vice Chairwoman of the Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners, Fellow of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Chairwoman of the Industry Advisory Committee of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of the PolyU, Governor 2014-15 of Rotary International District 3450, member of the Corporate Partner Scheme Committee of the Wofoo Leaders’ Network, member of The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Meeting (Hui Yang County) and the Honorary President and Permanent Member of the Wai Chow Clansmen General Association Hong Kong Limited and as Honorary President and Permanent Member of the Wai Chow Sheung Shui Clansmen Association Limited.
 

Ms Yeung advocates “Giving Back To Society” and Education has been her favourite subject. She believes that education advances our young generation. As Governor 2014 – 15, she initiated to raise fund for a meaningful Community Service Project “Go Go VTC Go” in this Rotary Year. The funds raised for the campaign are channelled through the Student Development Fund of the VTC supporting the student development programmes and facilities, as well as VTC students in financial needs with a strong will to pursue further studies which in turn enhance their social mobility.
