Mrs Katherine NGAN NG Yu-ying, JP was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by Chairman of Education Commission Dr Moses CHENG Mo-chi, GBS, OBE, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2014

Mrs Katherine NGAN NG Yu-ying is a successful entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in the toy manufacturing industry. She is currently the Vice President of May Cheong Toy Products Factory Limited.
 

Mrs Ngan has served in various capacities in Government committees and community organisations, including Vice President of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, President of Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council Foundation, Honorary President and Council Member of Hong Kong Federation of Women, Member of Consultative Committee on Economic and Trade Co-operation between Hong Kong and the Mainland, HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund Steering Committee, and the Council Member of Hong Kong Productivity Council. Previously, Mrs Ngan was Member of the Commission on Strategic Development, Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Shippers’ Council, Member of the Appeal Board of the Qualifications Framework, and Standing Member of the 10th 
Shaoguan Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
 

Mrs Ngan has made valuable contributions to the VTC. She served as a Council Member from 2002 to 2008 and a Member of the Estates Committee from 2005 to 2008. As the Vice President of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association, Mrs Ngan has donated scholarships to the VTC as an appreciation and encouragement to VTC students with outstanding academic performance, good conduct and active participation in school and community affairs.
 

Mrs Ngan was awarded Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong in 1996 and the Fellow of the Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries in 2004. She has been a Justice of the Peace since 2008, and was also awarded the Fellow and Honorary Fellow by the Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong in 2004 and 2014 respectively.
