    Mr David KWOK Sek-chi was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by Acting Secretary for Innovation and Technology Dr David CHUNG Wai-keung, JP

    Mr David KWOK Sek-chi is a seasoned executive with extensive banking experience and global exposure in Asia, the United States and the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute of the United Kingdom and a Certified Banker of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers.
     

    Mr Kwok serves on the boards of various local and overseas business entities that cover banking, insurance, mandatory provident funds and other financial services. For community and professional organisations, he is the Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers, the Honorary Treasurer of the Chinese Banks’ Association Limited, a Director of the Hong Kong Chi Tung Association Limited, a Lay Member of the Council of the Duty Lawyer Service and a Member of the Advisory Board of Global Bankers Program at the University of Washington. He was formerly a Member of the General Committee of The Hong Kong Bankers Club, the Inland Revenue Board of Review Panel and the Banking Industry Training Advisory Committee.
     

    Mr Kwok is very supportive of vocational and professional education and training, and has acted as the former Chairman of the Banking and Finance Training Board of the VTC from 2013 to 2019. During the tenure, he offered professional advice on development of new programmes in Financial Technology; supported students through scholarships and industrial attachment; facilitated provision of training in the Hong Kong banking industry by the Institute of Professional Education and Knowledge (PEAK) to the Mainland officials from Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Shenzhen Municipal Administration of Local Taxation.
