Dr Dennis NG Wang-pun, BBS, MH was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by Secretary for Education Mr Kevin YEUNG Yun-hung, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2017

Dr Dennis NG Wang-pun is Managing Director of Polaris Jewellery Manufacturer Limited. He is a veteran industrialist with over 40 years’ experience in jewellery manufacturing, and actively participates in various professional bodies and organisations for small and medium enterprises.
 

Dr Ng previously served as Member of the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee in 2000 to 2004, Associate Member of the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government from 2009 to 2010 and Member of Consultative Committee on Economic and Trade Co-operation between Hong Kong and the Mainland from 2013 to 2015.
 

Dr Ng is currently Vice President of The Chinese Manufacturer’s Association of Hong Kong, previously President of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business, Honorary Chairman and previously Chairman of Hong Kong Jewellery Manufacturers’ Association. He is also Council Member of Hong Kong Productivity Council, Member of Business Facilitation Advisory Committee, and Co-Chairman of Promoting Happiness Index Foundation. Dr Ng is an Honorary Consul for the Consulate of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Hong Kong and Macau.
 

Dr Ng was conferred University Fellowship by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2014, and received the Medal of Honour from HKSAR Government in 2007, and awarded Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2013.
 

Dr Ng is a committed supporter of the VTC. He was previously Member of Import/Export/Wholesale Trades Training Board and former Committee on Technologist Training, as well as Chairman of the former Metals Training Board. Currently, he is Chairman of the Jewellery, Watch and Clock Training Board. In the various Committees, Dr Ng has brought precious insights and advice to VTC’s programme and curriculum. Over the years, Dr Ng’s extensive industry networks have expanded a range of opportunities for VTC students, benefiting them in various aspects such as industry visits, graduate employment, as well as scholarships.
