We have always been committed to providing students of all
ages with valuable and high quality VET. The VTC’s awards,
pegging at levels from sub-degree, degree to master, form a
seamless progression pathway for students, enabling them
to achieve their full potential.
A Robust VET Value Chain
Starting from September 2012, the Technological and Higher
Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), a new member
institution, has offered VTC degree programmes to the
first cohort of Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education
(HKDSE) graduates, adding to the value chain of VET.
More degree programmes are offered by THEi in September
2013, such as Landscape Architecture, Chinese Culinary
Arts and Management, and Health Care. These will be
complemented by applied research and consultancy that
will further distinguish THEi as an institution that produces
graduates, research and consultancy that can help industry
development.
In its first year of operation, THEi secured external research
grants from its partners and industry sponsorships from
Kentec, Taiwan, to carry out R&D on sustainable and
renewable energy, and Supremacy, Hong Kong, for work on
waste recycling and resource recovery respectively.

項目，包括獲台灣金運科技股份有限公司捐
款，合作進行可持續發展及再生能源的研發
項目；並獲香港至杰集團有限公司資助，進行
廢物循環再用及資源再生的研究。
